Cinco de Mayo is a perfect excuse to host a fun office party, which offers employees a nice break from a hard day’s work – and we did just that!
As social media enthusiasts, we’re always looking for ways to share some of our work, culture, and the creative things we do here. However, it’s not as easy as simply posting a picture on Facebook. The pressure of sharing perfect content on social media can really prevent you from creating good content – you can’t just follow people around the office trying to capture those picture-perfect moments. Sometimes you have to create opportunities for social-worthy content.
We often see unexpected content like music prodigies, gold dress vs. blue dress and DIY projects go viral on social media, but sharing this content doesn’t exactly say “Work with us!” or “Look at our company culture!” to the extent that many businesses need. One of the best ways to successfully showcase your company culture is to post relevant content to your social media outlets designed to attract the right audience. Such as…
- Sharing your workspace with photos and videos
- Highlighting employees so customers get to know whom they work with
- Special events you host or attend
- Information on new products or services
Another important way to demonstrate your company culture is to be responsive. Responding quickly after receiving comments or private messages validates that you are engaging and receptive.
Why are we having a fiesta on Cinco de Mayo? Because we like to have fun AND it helps that we have a great client, Donkey Brands, makers of all natural tortilla chips and salsas. And, while we don’t need an excuse to throw a party with Donkey Brands, Cinco de Mayo is a great reason to run to the store and pick up some chips, salsa and guacamole to enjoy with a cold cerveza.
