Discover Network’s Merchant Acquisition and Retention division is charged with growing the acceptance of the Discover Card at merchants worldwide. The primary method for doing so was to work through a vast network of External Sales Agents, ranging in size from one-person shops to large firms.

We were tasked with creating an entire campaign – from messaging and design through to fulfillment – for a variety of media. The messaging needed to be consistent with Discover’s overall branding [at the time], while speaking to both internal and external audiences. Corporate approval processes being what they are [slow] and deadlines for launch remaining the same, the scope and complexity of the project demanded both strict attention to detail and an in-depth knowledge of Discover Network’s sales processes.

We developed an integrated, multi-media campaign to promote the launch of the new resource website [easi] for Discover Network’s external sales agents. The primary goal was to create awareness of the site’s benefits, across multiple touch points, within the external sales rep community and Discover Network inbound call centers. Awareness and usage of the website and associated materials increased dramatically as a result of this campaign.
