Beat the Algorithm: When to Post in 2022

LinkedIn is one of the best platforms to grow your business, but it can only take you so far if your engagement levels are lacking.

Unlike other social media sites, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, LinkedIn is primarily filled with employers and employees seeking career growth opportunities and, hence, B2B marketing. With over 722 million members, and 310 million of those being active monthly users, there is no shortage of potential leads – you just need to find them.

Given that LinkedIn is geared toward professional networking, it goes without saying that you should be uploading content during the work week. There are, however, certain days of the week, and times of day, that have consistently been proven to offer higher levels of active users and engagement. While engaging, thought-provoking content goes a long way, you’ll see much better results when pairing your posts with the perfect posting time. Wednesdays are the best day of the week to upload on LinkedIn. You’re catching your professional audience right in the middle of the work week, and you will likely notice much higher engagement than if you were to post on a Friday. When posting on Wednesdays, you should try to get your content up sometime between 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Posting too late in the day puts your posts at a much higher risk of lacking engagement.

Although Wednesday has been proven to be the best day to post on LinkedIn, busy schedules might not always allow you to post on the same day consistently. Tuesdays and Thursdays have also been shown to have higher engagement than other days of the week. If you can’t get anything up on Wednesday, strive to post on one of these days around the same time. Be sure to avoid posting on the weekends and specifically on Sunday, as this is the least active day of the week on LinkedIn.
