Accessing the ftp server ftp.customdirect.com
To access the ftp server, please refer to the directions below broken out by browser type. If you do not yet have a username or password or if you have any problems, please contact Barb DeChristopher at 630.529.1936.
Using Internet Explorer | Using Firefox | Using Safari | Using Fetch
Internet Explorer
Open Internet Explorer. In the address window type ftp.customdirect.com. Enter your Username and Password.
To download. Click on a file using your mouse.
To upload. Find the folder on your computer containing the files you wish to upload. Select the file(s) and copy them by holding down the <ctrl> key and pushing the <C> key. Now find the Internet Explorer window that has the Custom Direct FTP server open. Left click your mouse in the FTP server to select where to upload your files. Now paste your files into the FTP server by holding down the <ctrl> key and pressing the <V> key.

FireFox
Open FireFox.
Download free FireFTP.
Restart FireFox.
When Firefox opens, go to the Tools dropdown in the navigation bar, and choose FireFTP.
The window shown should open, go to Manage Accounts in the upper left of the window and click on Create Account.
You will then be prompted for a Account Name, Host, Login and Password. In the Host area, type ftp.customdirect.com, enter your Login and Password and hit OK. Then hit Connect.
You will enter your secured folder. You should now be able to upload and download by dragging and dropping files.
Safari
Safari is not supported. We suggest using FireFox as a browser and the FireFTP plug in. It’s free and easy to use. Download FireFox. See FireFox directions here.
Fetch
Open Fetch.
FTP login, type ftp.customdirect.com and enter your Login and Password. You will enter your secured folder. You should now be able to upload and download by dragging and dropping files.
